I've been struggling to get time to write about my previous class. I'm just happy that I have finally got time to type any thing that I could remember. We first learned about the snipping tool,   which ishould a tool used to crop images. When you crop you cut off the part you don't need in the image. I love doing it on the computer. This tool can be seen effective when you download jing and work on it. It is mostly used for sharing snapshotsof documents  , narrating online tutorials for library  instruction and providing feedback on assignments. I think it is one of the most important tools to consider when working in the library. While we were busy with practicall,  we also had an opportunity to learn on to edit PDF documents which was also a great experience because all the stuff was new to me. The moment we moved to internet 💻censorship the Internet hacking that took place in so many countries including SA came to my mind. In the news it was something very serious and it gave a me fright because i knew that everything is possible when cyber attacks takes place.  I think it is a good idea to have governments🌍globally  involved in regulating laws that monitor 📷the use of Internet to ensure the safety of their countries. I ❤ the lesson it was very 📚informative and important.

On the 9th May we did some practical activities that were interesting on Doodle and Google calendar. When we started talking about Internet filtering I was a bit excited because it was very informative especially for those who work with children who are obsessed about digital items. I like the fact that it restrict the children from  accessing the harmful information like porno. I protects even  the abuse of intellectual property.  Even though  it is good  it has its own advantages and disadvantages because sometimes it gives access to wrong information and restrict the most needed one.
My two previous lectures were exciting  because there was enough time to work on a computer.  On the 2 may we focused on audacity which helped us to have a better  idea of what audacity is all about and how it can be used when conducting interviews. The lecturer gave us an idea of working on the project. The one I loved the most was the digitisation of intellectual property.  I think is very important to preserve the important work so different generations can have access to it. For example the preservation of Timbuktu manuscripts which is a rich heritage of African continent. Even though Africa has a rich history it is difficult to digitise everything due financial constraints. I hope countries like  Egypt who are  known for preservation are using digitisation. I also wish that  South Africa could  do the same due to its rich history.

My fourth lecture.
The moment I walked into the class, the lecturer was giving a brief feedback about libguides. The mentioning of libguide unsettledme because its  something that I heard of when I first started and it almost made me to quit.  It was something very new to me and I had to get used to it by creating one.
When the topic of ebooks was introduced in felt relieved because it was something that  was not new to me. I was realy happy ☺. I am  a little bit concerned to find that they are not receiving a very positive response from the people. A gadget of its caliber  is supposed to get a lot of attention especially in a country that has very low literacy results. I think there should be a better way of marketing especially by the organisation that promote literacy in SA. I like the fact that it is portable and it carries a lot of books in it.

My third lecture

It was a continuation of the previous lecture , the focus was on the copyrights  and open access. The class was very quiet everyone looked tired. I was thinking about the libguide that I was struggling to start because of connection problems.  I didn't really  enjoy the lecture because my mind was not there. The exercise that we did on Shepard Romeo would have been better if it was not giving us the same result.

My Second ICT class.☺
She is entered the class on Tuesday evening the feeling was much better than the previous one. Firstly , I felt bad😯 that I was a little bit late and I had to look for a sit and the class was about to start. I told myself that I need to improve on time management. Secondly, I felt at ease when we started with the activity , because it kept me alive for the whole session. I loved the interaction because it kept us alive and we had to keep up with the pace for the lecturer. Learning something new is always fascinating especially when it comes to the IT
. The topic on copy rights was great and very informative. I wish most people could Learn about it because of the legal matters related to it that most people are not aware of. Lastly,  I loved the team work displayed by my fellow classmates assisting each other with their  libguidesite.  I  appreciate that even though I couldn't login to the website. ☺
